#196: Greg Neutra / J.D. Elliot – Grieg Fatigue

By the mid-1970s, the hippie spirit of love and peace had faded in California. However, with the Los Angeles Free Music Society, pioneers of the DIY aesthetic were already waiting in the wings. The loose group, with over a dozen artistic projects, liked the absurd and was inspired by the idea of a non-musical approach to music. Almost all sounds could be used creatively and transformed into something new. Greg Neutra and J.D. Elliot translated their aversion to classical music into the piece Grieg Fatigue in 1976.
