Mystery and poetry come together in the works of Guy de Cointet. His visual works are graceful and beautiful – even if you don’t know how to decipher them. The same applies to his use of language. De Cointet understood it as a system in its own right – an agreement between people based on codes. And he deconstructed it. Dutch voice artist Jaap Blonk, active himself at the intersection of music, poetry and performance, interpreted Cointet’s work Nonomotithur in 1997.
